David Bannister and Sarah Marks have received a Birkbeck-Wellcome Institutional Strategic Support Fund Grant to host a workshop with Ghanaian doctors and health administrators reflecting on their international training, including in the socialist world. Sarah Howard has also been awarded a grant from Birkbeck’s School of Social Sciences, History and Philosophy to fund a series of oral history interviews with Ethiopian practitioners who trained in the Soviet Union.
